The Zammer Twins Oracle Ed. III

The Zammer Twins Oracle Ed. III

Patrick Valenza built an entire fictional history around this oracle, set in the Deviant Moon universe and rooted in the lore of Fenwood Asylum. This is a limited third edition, self-published by Valenza through Deviant Moon Inc.

  • Language: English
  • Quality: linen finish, compact size, sturdy card stock
  • Contents: 50 cards

A self-published limited edition from Valenza’s Deviant Moon universe, with its own symbolism and a fully constructed fictional mythology.

Cartes De Visite 202666

Cartes de Visite 202666 Edition

This is not a prediction deck. It is an archive of 44 fictional patients from Fenwood Asylum, built by Patrick Valenza from reworked 19th-century portrait photographs. Each card carries a handwritten story on the back describing its subject, the experiments conducted, the relationships between residents of the asylum.

  • Language: English (handwritten texts on the reverse)
  • Quality: Heavy card stock, large format approx. 89 x 146 mm, delivered in a two-piece lidded box
  • Contents: 44 cards

The size and thickness of the cards make them difficult to shuffle in the usual way; most people fan them across the table or draw one from the spread.

Lenormand della Luna - Paradoxical Rose (Limited Edition)

Lenormand della Luna – Paradoxical Edition

This is the same artwork Patrick Valenza created for the Classic edition, with one fundamental difference: the colour values are inverted. Shadows turn light, light areas turn dark. The result is a high-contrast deck with an almost luminous quality that makes the Grand Tableau easy to read across a table. The Paradoxical Edition comes in a tin box and includes a folded Meaning Sheet with keywords by Valenza himself.

  • Language: English (keywords on Meaning Sheet)
  • Quality: Bridge-size cards (approx. 57 x 89 mm), delivered in tin box
  • Contents: 36 cards + folded Meaning Sheet

Same art as the Classic. Completely different atmosphere.

Lenormand della Luna – Classic Style Final Printing

Patrick Valenza brings his signature surrealist imagery, moon faces, weathered textures and a mood drawn from old etchings, into the traditional 36-card Petit Lenormand system. The Classic Style Final Printing is the last run of this version in its muted sepia and brown palette, packaged in a tin box. Cards are printed on 350 gsm card stock with a linen finish.

  • Language: No text on the cards (image-based only)
  • Quality: 350 gsm card stock, linen finish, tin box
  • Contents: 36 cards, bridge size (approx. 57 x 89 mm)

Valenza omitted the playing card inserts so the artwork speaks without interruption.

Patrick Valenza

Patrick Valenza is a well-known artist and tarot deck creator, best recognized for his distinctive and unconventional tarot decks, particularly The Deviant Moon Tarot. Valenza's work stands out for its surreal, dark, and dreamlike imagery, which offers a unique take on traditional tarot symbolism. His art is often described as whimsical, eerie, and deeply psychological, inviting readers to explore the shadow aspects of themselves and their subconscious minds.

The Deviant Moon Tarot, first published in 2008, is Valenza's most famous creation. The deck's artwork is inspired by the surrealism of nightmares, ancient ruins, and the haunting beauty of cemeteries, giving it a distinct gothic and fantastical tone. Valenza uses digital collage techniques to create the characters in his deck, many of which are grotesque, exaggerated, and distorted, reflecting the complexities of human emotions and experiences. The deck has gained a large following due to its unusual and thought-provoking artwork, which resonates with readers interested in exploring deeper, more mysterious layers of the psyche through tarot.

Valenza also created The Mildred Payne's Secret Pocket Oracle, a deck based on a fictional backstory about a haunted asylum patient named Mildred Payne. This oracle deck features simple yet unsettling illustrations on cards that seem to come from another era, adding to its mystical and occult appeal.

In addition to his tarot and oracle decks, Valenza has expanded his creative work by writing stories, creating visual art, and sharing his artistic process with his followers. His work often blurs the line between the beautiful and the macabre, drawing people into a world where the strange and familiar coexist.

Patrick Valenza’s contributions to the tarot and oracle world are valued for their originality and emotional depth. His ability to combine traditional tarot meanings with surreal, sometimes disturbing visuals allows readers to connect with their shadow selves and explore the often-hidden dimensions of their inner world. Through his art and storytelling, Valenza has established himself as a significant figure in contemporary tarot artistry, appealing to those who appreciate both the psychological and mystical aspects of tarot.
